The Inkbird IHT-2PB is a premium and versatile quick-read thermometer that can hang with the best. While it is a premium product, the pricing is excellent compared to other brands I have tested. Here are the main stats for the device:

This thermometer is one of the best-designed thermometers I have ever used.
What this device is missing
You might notice this device doesn’t support Wifi. While it might seem like a miss by Inkbird, I am here to tell you I prefer how this device was engineered.
Using Bluetooth is more reliable than devices that use Wi-Fi for several reasons. I have a thermometer that can connect to Wifi. Originally I thought it would be great to check on the food from the store or the beach. I can count on one hand how many times I have truly needed a Wifi connection. I rarely leave the house with food cooking. Because of this, I think this product’s reliability makes it more appealing. If you need the ability to connect to Wifi, InkBird has many other products that will fit your budget.
Build Quality
As soon as you pick up the device you can tell that no expense was spared to the build quality. The device feels amazing in your hands. The LCD on the unit is bright enough during the day, even in the bright sunlight. It also is very easy to read late at night.
Even the External thermometers and cables are made incredibly well. I was really impressed with the crimping of the thermometer onto the cable. It was done in such a way that you would really have to abuse the thermometer to damage it.

Besides reading the temperature on the device, you can also view it in the Inkbird App. This makes it perfect for people who just want something that can work by itself (think grandparents) and it works just as well for people who want the smart features of the application.
Anyone can easily use the Inkbird app. When using the app just click the “+” symbol near the right-hand side and the app will start looking for new devices. Click on the IHT-2PB that it found and touch it. In order to give permission to the app, the phone will get you to press a button on the thermometer to finish pairing the device. This is great security to prevent a neighbour or hacker from taking over your device.
Alerting
The alerting from the App and the actual device is quite good. I got an alert on my phone that my Rib-eye out on the Grill reached the temp. The audible sound was loud enough to get my attention but not loud enough to be annoying.
When I got outside to take the meat off the grill, the device was also alerting me directly that we had reached the end of our cook.
Magnet
Almost all my Inkbird products that I own have a magnet installed in them. Having the device stick directly to the BBQ, Smoker or Oven is honestly such an amazing feature. They are also designed to ensure the device will not come off unless you want it to.
